During beta, accounts are created through invitation only:

1. Apply for beta access through our sign-up page
2. Receive an email invitation (usually within 24-48 hours)
3. Click the activation link in your email
4. Complete your profile setup

Beta testers receive permanent "Early Access" and "Site Tester" badges!

Yes! You can change your username once every 60 days:

1. Go to Settings → Account
2. Click "Change Username"
3. Enter your new username
4. Confirm the change

Note: Your old username becomes available for others after 30 days. URLs to your profile will automatically redirect.

Badges are achievements displayed on your profile (you can show up to 7). Types include:

• Beta Badges: Early Access, Site Tester (granted to beta participants)
• Achievement Badges: First Published Chapter, 100k Words, etc.
• Supporter Badges: Kickstarter Backer, Patron
• Special Badges: Contest Winner, Featured Author

You can customize which badges display and their order in your Profile Settings.

We're sorry to see you go! To delete your account:

1. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
2. Review what will be deleted (all content, comments, messages)
3. Enter your password to confirm
4. Click "Permanently Delete Account"

Important: This action cannot be undone. Your content will be permanently deleted after 30 days. You can cancel deletion within this period by logging back in.

Getting started is easy:

1. Go to your Dashboard → "+ New Book"
2. Fill in book details (title, description, genre, cover art)
3. Click "Save & Continue" to access the editor
4. Write your chapter using our text editor
5. Click "Publish" when ready (or save as draft)

Chapters auto-save every 30 seconds, so you won't lose your work!

Yes! We have a dedicated fanfiction section (fanfic.CosyJotter.com) where you can:

• Write fanfiction of any published work
• Use a "cover alias" to keep fanfic separate from originals
• Write fanfiction of your own works (universe variations, what-ifs)
• Tag works clearly so readers know what to expect

Important: Respect original creators' wishes. Don't monetize fanfiction without permission. Always credit original creators.

No! There are no artificial limits on chapter length. Write as much or as little as your story needs. That said:

• Recommended: 2,000-5,000 words per chapter for optimal reading
• Minimum: No minimum, but very short chapters may affect reader engagement
• Maximum: Technically unlimited, but chapters over 20,000 words may load slowly on mobile devices

The AuthorVerse (coming in Phase 3) is a visual universe mapper that:

• Shows connections between your books and stories
• Maps out series, spin-offs, and crossovers
• Displays a "Fandom Barrier" separating your canon from fan works
• Helps readers understand the reading order and universe structure

This feature will be enabled once the work upload feature reaches stable release.

We take content safety seriously. To report content:

1. Click the "⋯" menu on any content (chapter, comment, profile)
2. Select "Report"
3. Choose the reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate, copyright, etc.)
4. Provide details and evidence if available
5. Submit the report

Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Reporters remain anonymous.

The NSFW section (nsfw.CosyJotter.com) is for adult content (18+/21+ depending on region). Access requires:

• Being logged in to your account
• Age verification (government ID or credit card)
• Agreeing to adult content terms

Users with NSFW content get a discreet badge on their public profile. Writers can choose whether to display NSFW and non-NSFW works under the same account or create separate accounts.

Yes! You have full control over who can interact with you:

• Block: Prevents someone from viewing your profile, commenting, or messaging you
• Mute: Hides their content from your feed without notifying them
• Restrict Comments: Limit who can comment (everyone, followers only, nobody)

Manage these settings in Privacy & Safety Settings.
